Chiké who just premiered the music video for his hit song featuring Ric Hassani “Nakupenda”, visited Rubbin’ Minds and discssed with Ebuka about several issues including dance music, chart domination, record labels and more.
The singer said that he was earlier offered a deal by Ubi Franklin to sign to MMMG after departing Universal Music and he eventually did not sign, although Ubi Franklin is still one of his biggest fans. He also talked about the success of his album “Boo of the Booless”, pop music, comparisons with Johnny Drille, his sophomore album, future collaborations, the Covid-19 pandemic and more.
